Monday Musings

Just a couple quick thoughts this morning on a few news items of the day:

Have a good start to the week, everyone.

  1. Radio Shack is still in business because people like my father and father-in-law still shop there. I don’t get it. My father-in-law actually buys BATTERIES there, plus other inferior electronic devices that usually die an untimely death. Maybe it’s a generational thing?

And your square-to-spare quote is from the fabulous Seinfeld episode that confirmed everybody’s dislike for public bathrooms.

  2. Good catch on the Seinfeld reference, Chels (it was Elaine’s line). And say thanks to your father-in-law for single-handedly keeping Radio Shack in business for all of us.

  3. Actually, Craig, the Seinfeld line was first uttered by Jamie Gertz, playing Jerry’s girlfriend Jane, who turned out to be a phone-sex operator. Elaine said it at the end of the episode, after she rushed into the bathroom and stole all the t.p. from the other stall.

  4. Thanks for the clarification, Nick. Like the woman in orthopedic shoes, I stand corrected.
